Lauren & Dylan | Bright Spring Wedding

I seriously could NOT stop smiling for every second of Lauren and Dylan’s celebration. From the moment I stepped foot onto the property of Sunset Bluffs, I didn’t even need my coffee anymore (and ya girl loves her cold brew 😜 ). The overwhelming feeling of love and joy was in the air from hair and makeup to the last firework burst.

Okay, let’s chat about two of the sweetest souls I have ever met – Lauren and Dylan. They are the definition of the classic all-American couple; the gentle way they love each other (and really everyone they meet) is a testament to the values they were raised with. I wish you could have met these families…there was so much freaking love between them it’s obvious that Lauren and Dylan got the gift of knowing how to love each other so truly from the examples demonstrated to them growing up. Lauren’s Dad even wrote, produced, and recorded a song for his father-daughter dance, ugh I CAN’T! I should have brought an umbrella on April 23rd, because even though the sun never stopped shining – support and blessings showered Lauren and Dylan all day long. I am I still trying to figure out how I was so lucky to be even a small part of it. I had to stop myself from “awing” at every little glance because, OMG Dylan could not take his eyes off his stunning bride, but to be fair- no one could. Annnddd as I’m writing this I’m falling in love with Lauren and Dylan and their magical wedding all over again…

Okay okay – I’m done gushing about these lovebirds, no words can come close to how truly beautiful this day was, soooooo… take a look for yourself!

Being a wedding photographer is all about SHOWING UP for your clients in big ways that don’t always involve a camera – fixing boutonnières, fluffing dresses, playing meteorologist in the event of rain, de-stressing aunt Karen whose freaking out about table signage (lol), or dabbing away tears to save that gorgeous face of makeup.

Honestly, over the years I've learned to approach the day as a balancing act between being proactive and stepping back. It's knowing when to step in and initiate moments to their full potential such as directing poses that make you look hella good, but also stepping back for the quiet and introspective moments when sweet granny kisses you on the cheek.

It's letting the natural, candid moments flow, and when it's time for portraits, you have an expert to direct you, guide you, and help you walk with confidence.

So if you're looking for a photographer to show up and pour 110% into you and your wedding day, to capture all these meaningful and emotional moments, to be more than just your photographer but truly a friend... then look no further cuz I'm your girl.
